Nymph on Wheels:Every Man’s Dream

Nymph on Wheels is a visual exploration of how women are portrayed within the biker-scene, a world that often thrives on loud masculinity and a specific fantasy: the man, the machine, and the half-naked woman draped over it. From magazines like Easyriders to events like the Bigtwin Bikeshow, women have long been depicted as decoration rather than as active riders.

This project takes a closer look at the sexualized visual language that dominates this culture. The chopper serves not just as a machine but as a tool to enter this male-dominated culture through its own symbols. The goal is to question, disrupt, and plant seeds of change.

By pushing these images to their limits and reflecting them back, the intention is not to mock but to create space within this narrative. Ultimately, the aim is to stand at a custom bike show, not as a pin-up, but as an artist adding a new perspective. To stand out within the traditional custom scene, visual elements from the 90’s sportbike scene have been incorporated, enhancing the work’s impact.

Through this project, a new dialogue can emerge about the role of women within the biker scene, challenging traditional representations and inviting a more inclusive narrative.
